Several Butler County businesses teamed up to provide a lucky couple with a free Halloween wedding.
Suite Retreat Bed and Biscotti Lodging, along with other downtown Butler businesses have worked together to provide one lucky couple the wedding of their dreams, on Halloween. Suite Retreat Bed and Biscotti Lodging announced their Halloween wedding promotion on Facebook and received many entries. Contestants had to “Like” the participating businesses and “Like, Comment, and Share” the Facebook post along with providing an online entry explaining why they should be chosen.
The winners, Tonia Montgomery and Brian Smith, will receive the wedding and reception venue at Suite Retreat Bed and Biscotti Lodging, wedding decor and floral arrangements from All About Reclaimed by Jeff Double, food provided by The Chop Shop, a honeymoon suite overnight stay at Suite Thyme, wedding photography from Liz Capuano Photography, and a digital wedding invitation from Something Social. The couple will also have the wedding cake and cookies donated by Harvey’s Sweet Shoppe.
Shelby Spinneweber, owner of Suite Retreat Bed and Biscotti Lodging, spearheaded the collaboration in an effort to publicize that their venue could be a “one-stop-shop” for hosting and organizing micro-weddings with a maximum of 50 people in attendance. Spinneweber said, “I was inspired by Butler County Tourism’s ‘30 Days of Giveaways’ to run the promotion on Facebook, and I wanted to give back to the community.”
The bride, Tonia Montgomery said, “We feel so blessed to be chosen as the winners, and it’s a dream come true. Our wedding was postponed three times this year due to COVID-19, and it’s phenomenal that these businesses could do this. Halloween is our favorite holiday, so it’s very fitting for us to be married on this day.”
This non-traditional wedding will take place on Saturday, October 31 at 5:30 p.m. outside at the B&B’s courtyard (weather permitting) and costumes will be worn by the bride and groom and are encouraged for the guests.
